PLUS: AI cures cancer, saves the Amazon and wins the US Election.

What’s up team!
Time to get our Neural Networks spinning for the week.
Today, we’ve got more cool news, apps and a deep dive into how AI can help in medicine. If you’re looking for some solid AI ideas, there are a bunch in there.
Let’s go!
🗞 News in 30 secs’
🦠 AI can Spot Cancer Accurately
We promise it isn’t all about healthcare today but lets start with this story about AI identifying Cancer Accurately. The Team from an NHS hospital in London hope it’ll help with early detection.
🌴 AI To save the Amazon?
In what seems like a battle of my dad is bigger than your dad, not only can AI cure cancer but also save the amazon? Previsia predicts where deforestation is likely to happen and flags these warning signs to authorities.
🗳 AI can also win the US election?
Okay, we’re joking here. Kinda. The 2024 US election will be the first election with widespread AI tools. Things are gonna get interesting with Joe Biden’s announcement that he was running for re-election with an attack ad entirely generated by AI, or through the fears over voter manipulation at a new scale. How AI will help us live forever.
Martin Shkreli launched Dr Gupta a few weeks back, saying it was the next significant breakthrough in reducing the price of healthcare for millions..maybe even billions of people over the world.

This week, ChatGPT has already been awarded a better bedside manner than many doctors
Perhaps it will be Martin,
Perhaps it’ll be something else.
Either way, we thought it could be cool to highlight a few ways AI could transform healthcare.
1/ Drug Discovery.
Drug discovery right now is a long, expensive process that involves a bunch of steps from finding a target in the body, to testing the drug in labs and then on people, and finally getting it approved by authorities.
AI can make this whole thing quicker and cheaper. It can crunch tons of data to find new drug targets, suggest new drug molecules, and predict how changes in the drug could affect its performance. It can also help design better experiments and predict outcomes, making the whole testing phase smoother. And when it's time to get approval, AI can help speed that up too by analyzing all the data from trials.
In short, AI is set to seriously shake up how we discover new drugs, making it faster, cheaper and potentially leading to better treatments for all sorts of diseases.
2/ Personalised Medicine
Few problems with modern medicine:
It’s reactive. It takes something happening for treatment to be issued.
Everyone gets the same medicine, and we all can react differently.
No ones' got time to care about the health issues I’m gonna get in 20 years.
Welcome to the ring, personalised medicine.
Personalised medicine is all about tailoring treatments to individual.
With AI, we can sift through loads of data, like a person's genes, lifestyle, and even the bugs in their gut, to work out what treatments might work best for them. It can also predict how they might react to different drugs, helping to avoid nasty side effects.
Plus, AI can keep track of their health over time, spotting any changes that might mean a tweak to their treatment is needed.

3/ Mental Health Support
AI will be a game-changer when it comes to mental health support.
It can analyse things like speech patterns, text messages, and social media activity to catch signs of mental health issues early.
Chatbots can provide 24/7 support, answering questions and even guiding folks through calming exercises during a panic attack.
AI can also help therapists by analysing data from their sessions and suggesting personalised treatment plans, similar to what we’re seeing with recruiting.
AI can also keep an eye on a person's progress over time, and flag if things seem to be going off track. So, AI could make mental health support more proactive, accessible, and tailored to the individual.
What’s Appnin’ 🎮
Let’s talk documentation.
I know.
Normally pretty boring, and at work it’s probably the last thing you think to do.
Well not any more.
Guidde helps you create video documentation with AI.
With Guide you can:
Record a flow of you doing anything.
Automatically generate steps ina 1,2,3,4,5 style for your audience
Automatically add voice overs and stylish content.
Is this cutting edge AI no.
Is this useful. Extremely.
