Nvidia unveils text-to-video model

We’ve got text to text, text to voice, text to image and now…text to video.

This is unreal.

Nvidia have created a Text to Video model that takes a prompt and returns a video.

Currently it seems to create Gif Like videos, but at a very high resolution (up to 1280 x 2048 🎥)

Check out the video sample here.

This model is only going to get better and better. Hollywood stunt doubles should be worries.

Text prompt: "A teddy bear is playing the electric guitar, high definition, 4k."

What’s Appnin

Dolores.app is one of the first AI Companions, marketed as a virtual girlfriend. Yay…. 🙄

The Impressive part about this is the evolving personality of Dolores.

She can remember lots about you and your conversation history and hold a voice conversation.

Let’s say you tell her one day you have a cat. In future conversations she might check in on that cat.

It’s one step closer to AI <> Human relationships….

Artificial General Intelligence..?

Researchers have found a curious thing happening in ChatGPT.

One conversation asked Chat GPT to compress a long piece of text into a shortened “code”

Then take that code and put it into another conversation.

ChatGPT can decode that cypher back to English.

What why does that matter?

1/ Both these conversations are independent. ChatGPT shouldn’t know from one chat to another how to solve problems as it does not have AGI and is not “aware of itself”.

2/ It shows that with the push to build better and better models, we consistently understimate what the current version is capable of.

General intelligence may not be here yet, but it could be closer than you think.
